Drama Analysis - THE DREAM OF FLIGHT! ♥

Triumph in the skies - is a series of Hong Kong drama television which is produced by TVB that premiered in 2003.

This is a love story about how the little doll which called as "Triangel" linked with the two pilots and a pretty stewardess. The casts in the drama has literally brought the message about the importance of the pilot occupation. In the 40 episodes, the drama has fully described the passion of the youth to be succeed. The casts were also showed their determination in order to get the path of their flying dreams. They have poured their full effort to be a responsible pilot and went for the hard training in Australia. The production crew has took many pretty external photography in Japan, Italy and Australia. 

The story start from the pretty stewardess, Isabelle Lok (portrayed by Flora Chan) who are looking for the little doll- Triangel. 

The Senior Pilot, Samuel Tong (portrayed by Francis Ng) saw the post and he found the little doll in an old souvenir shop in Rome, Italy when he was outstation with his childhood best friend, Vincent Ling (portrayed by Joe Ma). 

At the same day, Sam met Isabelle and he picked Isabelle's bracelet in Rome. He returned the bracelet to Isabelle and they have the first sight of love. They enjoyed to be together for one day but they are still did not know each other even their own name.

The next day, Isabelle went to visit her cousin who was the coffee shop owner. The waitress who called as Donna was absent for work without any reasons. Thus, Isabelle decided to help out in the coffee with Donna's uniform. Sam went to the coffee shop and met Isabelle again. However, Sam misunderstood her name as "Donna". Isabelle was also misunderstood Sam, who help Vincent to left a note in coffee for his girlfriend, as Vincent. They did not show up in the last promised date. However, the conflicts between their love story starts and their love have to be stop due to the little misunderstanding. Few months later, Isabelle met Vincent in Rome and they were eventually fall in love with each other.

The story carried on with the love confusion between Sam and Isabelle. The confusion has brought arguments and hard feelings between three of them. Until the wedding eve of Vincent and Isabelle, Isabelle just found out that was a misunderstanding between her and Sam. However, she still decided to marry Vincent but with the memory of Sam in her heart.

On the other side, the problems were adding up into Sam's life when he met his fooling-around younger brother Issac Tong (portrayed by Ron Ng).

Issac was a cadet who joined the Solar Airlines Cadet Programme to be the pre-pilot. He met his best friends of five in the cadet program. They went through the challenges together no matter in the cadet program or in their life. Sam was their instructor and he became the first Chinese captain in Hong Kong.

The drama come to the climax when Vincent passed away in Italy due to accident. This lastly made Isabelle found out that Vincent was the one she loved. On the other hand, Sam was also found his true love and finally married the young girl, Zoe (portrayed by Myolie Wu), the airport server who admired Sam since they met each other. 

This is a brief synopsis of this drama. This drama was getting the highest rate of audience in Hong Kong and Mainland China for the year of 2003. The production crew was trying hardly to have the following sequel for this encouragement drama. However, they could not find any airlines to sponsor their drama production. Fortunately, Triumph in the Skies 2 was successfully produced at the end of 2012 and officially premiered on 15 July of 2013. 

In my personally opinion, I am strongly recommend this drama for the youth. This drama has brought different lessons to me. For instances, Issac who used to be careless, casual and fool around during classes, has paid off his effort on his study and finally he got the license to be a pilot.  

The conflicts between Sam and Vincent about their love story with Isabelle has shown how Sam try to protect his friendship and persist his love in memory in stead of getting together with Isabelle. 
Lastly, the issue of friendship has brought up in the drama which shown by Issac and his friends, they learnt how to tolerate each other when they got into conflicts or troubles.
